NATCHEZ — Two people entrapped by a fallen tree in their vehicle had to be rescued early Sunday morning.

Adams County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Shane Daugherty said they were traveling on Airport Road at approximately 1:48 a.m. when they collided with a fallen tree.

Daugherty said he did not know if they hit the tree and became trapped or if the tree fell on the vehicle.

The driver had non-life-threatening injuries. Responders had to cut the tree off the vehicle to rescue the driver and passenger, he said.
