NATCHEZ — Nine of 10 escapes from the Orleans Parish Correctional Facility have been arrested.

Antoine Massey, 33, who was once thought to be in the Natchez area, was captured at a residence in New Orleans on Thursday.

Law enforcement officials said Massey will be transported to a secure state correctional facility outside of the New Orleans area. Massey may face additional charges, officials said Friday.

At the time of his escape, Massey was incarcerated for domestic abuse battery involving strangulation, theft of a motor vehicle and parole violation.

Detectives from the Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations New Orleans Field Office, the Department of Homeland Security, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the United States Marshals Service and the New Orleans Police Department continue to seek the one remaining escapee, Derrick Groves.

On May 27, the Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office and the Adams County Sheriff’s Office began a search for Massey in the Natchez area after receiving a tip they thought to be credible that Massey had been spotted in the Providence Road area of Natchez. They were soon joined by the Natchez Police Department, and other state and federal agencies in the search, which continued through the day.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Derrick Groves is asked to call anonymously by calling the Lousiana State Police, Crime Stoppers of Greater New Orleans or the FBI Hotline.

The rewards leading to the arrest of Groves total $50,000.
