Kara Michelle Simonton of Natchez and Jonathan Scott Olsen of Worthington, Ohio, were married at 7 p.m., April 20, 2013, at Brandon Hall Plantation in Natchez with the Rev. Scott Green officiating.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. John Michael Simonton of Natchez and Mr. and Mrs. Randy Olsen of Dublin, Ohio.

The bride is the granddaughter of Yvonne Anderson and the late Jerry Anderson of Ocean Springs and the late Mrs. Della Biglane Simonton of Natchez. The groom is the grandson of Fran Shaw of Kennebunkport, Maine and the late Mr. Leonard Shaw and the late Mr. and Mrs. Alden Olsen of Salt Lake City. Music for the ceremony was provided by The Jackson String Quartet. The bride’s processional was to “Canon in D” and the recessional was to “Bittersweet Symphony.” The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a Rivini Lismora gown in ivory. The gown featured a sweetheart neckline with a ruched tulle bodice and skirt. The strapless mermaid gown ended in a cascade of elaborate organza ruffles surrounding the sweep train. The ivory elbow-length bubble veil was triple tiered with a cut edge. She wore a scalloped bib necklace encrusted with rhinestones in a floral motif.

Lauren Callon and Becky Tillman Jex of Natchez served as maid and matron of honors. Bridesmaids were Marcie Depta Carlton and Erin Wentworth Stephens both of Natchez, Emily Rector Green of Ocean Springs, Mary Rockwell of Atlanta, Meagan Roberts of Los Angeles, Pamela Sain Mills of Rector, Ark., Candace Bush of Mobile, Ala., Whitney Giordano of Jackson, Sarah Moorer of Columbia, S.C. and Courtney Lawrence Figuerido of Hattiesburg.

Bridesmaids wore assorted muted toned Amsale floor-length chiffon gowns and carried pink astilbe.

Julia Claire Jex and Caroline Carlton of Natchez served as flower girls.

Todd Whitenack of Fairhaven, N.J., served as best man. Groomsmen were Holt Price of Weston, Conn., Penn Lindsey of Kennebunkport, Maine, Riley McCormack of Miami, Chad Pallopson of New York and Ted O’Connor of Philidelphia.

Their dogs Mickey, Ollie and Pearl served as ring bearers. A reception was at Brandon Hall following the ceremony. Assisting at the reception was Rachel Garber.

After honeymooning in Hong Kong, Bali and Thailand the couple now resides in Dallas.
