Trinity Episcopal’s softball team finished on the wrong end of an 18-5 score to Parklane Academy here Friday.

Jennifer Brinegar and Sarah Kirby both led Trinity’s bats with three hits apiece.

Haley Hinton, Amber Huff, and Lessley Petty each had two hits. Amber Huff took the loss for the Saints.

&uot;Our hitting was inconsistent,&uot; said Trinity Coach Rick Kirby. &uot;We were getting runners on but we couldn’t bring them in. Parklane is a good team. It just shows us that we can still improve our team both offensively and defensively.&uot;

Trinity won the junior varsity contest 6-2 as Huff picked up the win. Haley Hinton and Sara Greer had two hits each. Kirby and Hinton tripled.

Trinity was scheduled to play Huntington today at the Natchez Girls Softball Complex, but that game has been changed to April 21 at the complex.
