Paul Henry Ramos CHURCH HILL &045;&045; Funeral arrangements for Paul Henry Ramos, 80, of Church Hill, who died Wednesday, July 28, 1999, at his residence, are incomplete at Spencer Funeral Home.

Benny Joe Mapp n Nov. 30, 1941 &045;&045; July 25, 1999 FERRIDAY, La. &045;&045; Services for Benny Joe Mapp, 57, of Vidalia, La., who died Sunday, July 25, 1999, at Natchez Community Hospital, were at 10 a.m. July 27 at Comer Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Roger Johnson officiating. Burial was at Mineral Springs Cemetery in Hattiesburg July 28. Mr. Mapp was born Nov. 30, 1941, in Forrest County, to Joseph and Tressie Lee Mapp. He was employed at GSO of Mississippi in Natchez and a member of Dixie Methodist Church in Forrest County. He was a resident of Vidalia since 1982. He was preceded in death by his father; his first wife, Faye Mapp; a daughter, Tressa Mapp; a brother, Joe Mapp and a sister, Bernice Lee. Survivors include his mother; his wife, Barbara S. Mapp of Vidalia; a daughter, Angie Seyfarth of Natchez; three brothers, Raymond J. Mapp, Willie H. Mapp and Buster Mapp, all of Hattiesburg; a sister; Ann Sheasby of Hattiesburg; a stepson, Malcolm Cloy of Natchez; three stepdaughters, Tracy Freeman, Margaret Freeman and Wendy Cater all of Natchez; a stepson, one stepdaughter and two stepgrandchildren; 10 grandchildren, Brandon Smith, Neal Smith, Keysha Freeman, Melvin L. Freeman Jr., John W. Foy, Shane Rushing, Daniel Cloy, Gabriel Cloy, Scotty Cater and Lacy Cater. Pallbearers will be Tyrone Hollis, Shelton Seals, Kevin Wall, Malcolm Cloy, Bobby Cater, Mike Bryant, Steve Underwood and Billy Ray Lee. He was a lifelong resident of Woodville, a mechanic and a member of the Benevolent Lodge. Ben Lewis officiating. Graveside services will follow at 1 p.m. Saturday at Star Hill Cemetery in St. Francisville, La., under the direction of Laird Funeral Home. Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Mrs. Bryant was born May 21, 1910, in Franklin County, the daughter of Charles Albert and Nannie Delaney Strittman. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in St. Francisville and had been attending Community Methodist Church in Fayette. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John W. Bryant; three brothers, John Strittman, Walter Strittman and Earl Strittman; a sister, Mamie Frasier; and a son-in-law, Arvi Hamalainen. Survivors include two daughters and their husbands, Alice and Don Ward of Fayette and Betty Hamalainen of Corpus Christi, Texas; four grandchildren, Pamela and Mark McAndrews and David and Gayle Hamalainen; four great-grandchildren, Kelli McAndrews, Danny McAndrews, Bryan Hamalainen, Kristen Hamalainen; two sisters, Velma Emfinger of Meadville and Thelma Cranfield of Lorman; a brother, C.W. Burial will be at the National Cemetery under the direction of George F. West Funeral Home. Mr. Hawkins was born April 22, 1923 in Adams County, the son of Charles W. Parker and Hattie Dorsey. He was a member of Roxie First Baptist Church where he served as a Sunday school teacher. He was also a U.S. veteran. Survivors include his wife, Marva L. Hawkins; nine children, Henry B. Hawkins, Gwendolyn Hawkins, Craig Hawkins, all of Roxie, Ricky L.
