Kelsa Powell is a miniature model. With big, brown eyes and a petite frame, she first posed for Kelly’s Kids at the age of two – gracing the cover of their catalog.
Powell currently appears in a Sports Center television commercial, but doesn’t seem very impressed with all the media attention.
Now 4 years old, she is more concerned with regular little girl activities – playing with her Chihuahua, Molly, and her doll, Amy. &uot;She likes to swim and bake cakes in her little Easy Bake Oven,&uot; said her mother, Kristie Hicks.
Hicks married Donald Hicks on June 3 and is blending two families and two houses. Donald has a son, Preston, who will be 13 in October.
&uot;We decided to move into Donald’s house and pick the best furnishings between the two,&uot; Hicks said.
&uot;We stored some things in the attic here and are putting other things in storage,&uot; she said. &uot;I’m not sure what I’m going to do with some of it.&uot;
Both Kristie and Donald Hicks work at the Byrne Insurance Agency in Natchez and stay active with their two children’s schools and activities.
Preston is into football and baseball and Kelsa has discovered soccer.
&uot;Our hobbies are our kids,&uot; Hicks said. &uot;Sometimes, they’re more like a full time job.&uot;
Kelsa is looking forward to a cheerleader camp at Cathedral School and Preston will have a special birthday trip to Atlanta this October to see a Braves game.
But for now, Donald and Preston Hicks continue to load the pick-up with extra furnishings to go into storage.
