Elizabeth Helen Passbach Crawford

March 20, 1908 – August 22, 1999

Services for Elizabeth Helen Passbach Crawford, 91, of Natchez, who died Sunday, August 22, 1999, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary Basilica with the Rev. Alfred Camp officiating.

Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird’s Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. Monday at St. Mary’s, with a Rosary Service beginning at 7 p.m., and 9 a.m. until service time Tuesday.

Mrs. Crawford was born March 20, 1908, daughter of Ferdinand and Mary Agnes Esposito Passbach.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Mary Frances Crawford Eidt; and her husband, Earl Wray &uot;Curley&uot; Crawford.

Survivors include one daughter and her husband, Ann Louise &uot;Sissy&uot; and Henry F. Eidt; one son-in-law, Joseph Eidt Jr.; seven grandchildren and, F. Joseph Eidt III, and his wife Emily Martin Eidt, Lea Ann Eidt Ray, Lisa Eidt Whitam and her husband Greg Whitam, Margaret Eidt Monger and her husband Trip Monger, Henry F. &uot;Duke&uot; Eidt Jr., Duncan Wray Eidt and his wife Jennifer Michel Eidt and Michael Joseph Eidt and his wife, Megan Lewis Eidt; eight great-grandchildren, Ben Eidt, Phillip Eidt, Mary Catherine Ray, Clint Ray, Laura Whitam, Callie Monger, Duncan Monger and Suzanna Eidt; one sister, Annie Passbach Garrity; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Joe Eidt III, Duke Eidt, Wray Eidt, Michael Eidt, Greg Whitam and Trip Monger.

The family requests memorials be made to Cathedral School Development Office, Pleasant Acre Day School or the charity of one’s choice.

Jack Adams

April 17, 1908 – Aug. 18, 1999

JONESVILLE, La. – Services for Jack Adams, 91, formerly of Catahoula Parish, who died Wednesday, Aug. 18, 1999, in Little Rock, Ark., were held Saturday at the First Baptist Church of Jonesville with the Rev. Dr. Ralph Webber officiating.

Burial followed in Heard’s Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Mr. Adams was a retired cattleman and rancher. He worked as a Catahoula Parish Deputy Sheriff for 10 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Jonesville and a member of the 4-Rivers Masonic Lodge. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the 3860th S.C.U. during World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Lois Manning Adams of Redfield, Ark.; one daughter and her husband, Jacquelyn and Mike Glass of Redfield; one brother, Temple Adams of Monroe; one sister, Ruby LaPrarie of Delhi; four grandchildren, Nicole, Candice, Brittney and Heather; three great-grandsons; two great-granddaughters; and several other relatives.

Pallbearers were Morris Wilson, Tommy Tiffee, Craig Edwards, Dayton Young, Mike Taylor and Darrell White.

Honorary pallbearers were deacons of the First Baptist Church.

Eva A. Gore

SICILY ISLAND, La. – Services for Eva A. Gore, 80, of Siciliy Island, who died Sunday, Aug. 22, 1999, at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Norris Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Frank Houston officiating.

Burial will follow in the Oakley Cemetery under the direction of Community Memorial Funeral Home in Winnsboro.

She was a retired nurses aide with Rosalie Nursing Home and a member of Norris Hill Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Tom Gore.

Survivors include one son, Billy Gore of Sicily Island; two daughters, Bertha Graves of Ferriday and Debbie Ferrington of Sicily Island; two brothers, Donnie Ray Parker of Sicily Island and Bennie Ray Parker of Gilbert; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
