Larry Donal Dantzler
Feb. 27, 1956 – Aug. 18, 1999
LEXINGTON – Services for Larry Donal Dantzler, 43, of Lexington, who died Wednesday, Aug. 18, 1999, at St. Joseph Hospital in Denver Colo., will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Clarks Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.
Burial will be in the Church Cemetery under the directions of Williams Memorial of Okolona.
Mr. Dantzler was born Feb. 27, 1956, in Hattiesburg, the son of Hilton Dantzler and A. Georgia L. Dantzler.
He was a member of Clarks Chapel Missionary Baptist Church and was employed with S.V. Marshall High School. He was an Alderman for the town of McLain, a board member for Greene Area Medical Extenders in Leakesville and a member of the Selective Service Board. Mr. Dantzler was also Chairman of the Administrative Board of Bolton Chapel United Methodist Church in McLain and secretary for Silver Star Lodge No. 612 of Okolona.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Isabell Dantzler of Lexington; his mother, Arlena Naylor of Hattiesburg; three daughters, Tamika Isabell, Cynthia Isabell and Shameka Isabell, all of Lexington; two sons, Nico Dantzler and Rico Dantzler of Oxford; four sisters, Lorraine Ruffin, Maybell Loper and husband, Courtney, Darlene Guinu and Derrick, all of Hattiesburg and June Jones of Richmond, Calif.; five brothers and their wives, Dr. Lawence and Julia Naylor, Elder David Charles and Frances Smith, Henry and Wanda Naylor, Cecil and Trinia Naylor, Mikel and Dorothy Naylor; one step-brother, Willie R. Williams and his wife Louise.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Foster, Michael Bowens, Ross Rutherford, Bobby Gladney, Marvin Williams, Henry Cooperwood and LeRoy Brooks.
Honorary pallbearers will be William Randle, Herbert Floyd, Eldrige Lowe, Joe James and Johnny Williamson.
