Safety top priority at NHS games

Natchez Public Schools Superintendent Carl Davis wants everyone to know security and safety are top priorities at Natchez High’s football games this year.

Natchez hosts Jefferson County Friday at 7:30 p.m..

&uot;We will have railings in front of the stands to cut down on the number of people coming down out of the stands,&uot; Davis said. &uot;(Athletic Director) Gill Morris has done a great job of meeting and planning with security for the games.&uot;

Davis said there will be extra police and security to usher people back and forth to the concession stand.&uot;

Davis said one important priority is keeping students and others from standing around in groups.

&uot;We’ll just asking everyone to work with us to make it pleasant for everyone at the game,&uot; he said. &uot;I think the changes we’ve made will make a big difference and make it better for everyone. We’re also encouraging people not to smoke.&uot;

Davis said Natchez Athletic Director Gill Morris has been working with security to make sure there are no problems this year at football games.

&uot;Mr Morris has done a good job of meeting with people and making sure everyone’s safety is the most important thing.&uot;

Admission to home games is $4 for everyone.
