Services for Dwight L. Washington, 24, of Chicago, formerly of Natchez, who died Wednesday, Aug. 18, 1999, at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Chicago, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Fourth Street Church of Christ with Brother Wendell Greene Sr. officiating.

Burial will be in the Pine Hill Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home of Ferriday.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Washington was born Dec. 9, 1974, in Detroit, the son of Cynthia Washington.

He was employed as a general laborer.

Survivors include his parents, Jimmy and Cynthia Washington Calip of Dallas; one brother, Charles and his wife Kaye Husband of Chicago; two sisters, Jasmine Washington and Jimese Calip of Dallas; one son, Jarquise Washington of Chicago; maternal grandparents, Samuel and Gladys Washington of Natchez; maternal great-grandmother, Hattie Jones of Natchez; an aunt and uncle, Alice and John Husband of Chicago; five other aunts, Joyceline and her husband Timothy Bright and Hattie Washington, all of Dallas, Mickie and her husband Rickie Scott of Cedar Hill, Texas, Ashley S. Powers and Sharina R. Washington of Natchez; four uncles, Samuel L. and his wife Linda Washington Jr. of Dallas, Tredell and his wife Lorraine Washington of DeSoto, Texas, Cedric and his wife Felicia Washington of Grand Prairie, Texas and Sa’Mel Washington of Natchez; and a number of great-aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives.

Frank Taylor

FERRIDAY, La. – Services for Frank Taylor, 86, of Ferriday, who died Tuesday, Aug. 24, 1999, at Riverland Medical Center in Ferriday, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Zion Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Dave Mays officiating.

Burial will be in the Church Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home, inc. of Ferriday.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Taylor was the son of Frank and Minnie Ivory Taylor.

He was a retired truck driver and a member of Rising Sun Baptist Church in Ferriday.

Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his wife, Ophelia D. Taylor.

Survivors include four sons, Robert Davis Sr., Jacob Taylor and Frank Ford, all of Ferriday and Joseph Taylor of Baton Rouge; two daughters, Dorothy Crumb and Marie Banks of Ferriday; two sisters, Dorothy Green and Rosie Lee Bethley of Ferriday; 40 grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Janice Ann Pritchard

Feb. 9, 1956 – Aug. 25, 1999

JONESVILLE, La. – Services for Janice &uot;Jan&uot; Ann Pritchard, 43, of Jonesville, who died Wednesday, Aug. 25, 1999, in Jonesville, will be at 10 a.m. today at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dawn Stoker and the Rev. David Carlton officiating.

Burial will be in the Heard’s Cemetery in Manifest, under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

She was director of counseling at New Beginnings Resource Center and on the board of directors of Tri Parish Mental Health Association. She was also a member of First United Methodist Church and a former member of the Jonesville Women’s Club.

Mrs. Pritchard was preceded in death by his mother, Imogene McMillin and one brother, Roy Randy McMillin.

Survivors include her husband, Mickey Pritchard of Jonesville; two daughters, Angela Pritchard and Jamie Pritchard of Jonesville; her father, Robbie McMillin of Jonesville; one brother, David McMillin of Jonesville; three sisters, Robbie McMillin of Jonesville, Corrie Porter of Eldorado, Ark., and Mary King of Jonesville; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Sheriff Ronnie Book, Ben King, Mike Taylor, Ray Cooper Jr., Hub King, James Wesley Porter, Nick Nicholson and Bobby King.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dennis Gardner, William Osborne and Dr. David McCoy.

Funeral arrangements for Denise Rodriguez, 31, of Natchez, who died Thursday, Aug. 26, 1999 at Natchez Regional Medical Center, are incomplete at Laird Funeral Home.

Roosevelt Hoggatt

Feb. 26, 1935 – Aug. 23, 1999

STANTON – Services for Roosevelt Hoggatt, 64, of Natchez, who died Monday, Aug. 23, 1999, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Smithland Baptist Church with the Rev. Percy Turner officiating.

Burial will be in the Church Cemetery under the directions of George F. West Funeral Home.

The procession will leave the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. Saturday.

Visitation is from 3 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Hoggatt was born Feb. 26, 1935, in Adams County, the son of George Miller and Elizabeth Jones.

He was a woodworker and a Baptist.

Survivors include four brothers, Dumas Hawkins and Percy Bernard of Natchez, George Miller of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Willie Ernest Miller of Milwaukee; five sisters, Ellen King of Vidalia, La., Josephine Rounds of Milwaukee, Claudine Haines of New Orleans, Bertha Mae Feff of Atlanta and Jane W. Brown of Jennings, Mo.; two daughters, Mary E. Davis of Natchez and Rose Mary Davis of Houston, Texas; two sons, Donald Davis and Roosevelt Davis of Houston; one aunt, Mary Jane Sims of Natchez; two uncles, Clint Miller and Willie James Drew of Natchez; 14 grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Willie L. King, Oliver King, J.D. Givens, Silas Jones, Merrick Jones and Vaugh Jones.
