Jefferson County drops game

Jefferson County suffered its second straight tough loss to start the season, losing to Crystal Springs at home 12-6 Friday night.
Kelvin Clark, who had 76 yards rushing, scored Jefferson County’s only touchdown on a 45-yard run in the third quarter.
Crystal Springs scored its points on a 20-yard run by Antarion Kendricks in the second quarter and on a 45-yard run by Lonnie Robinson in the third quarter.
Jefferson County had to use three quarterbacks in the game because their starter was out do to an injury. They combined to complete just four of 13 passes for 87 yards and two interceptions.
Jefferson County also lost two fumbles in the game.
Crystal Springs improved to 1-1. Jefferson County, 0-2, will play next Friday at Ferriday.
