Brookhaven stops Franklin County

Brookhaven jumped out to a 28-0 halftime lead and went on to defeat Franklin County 46-12 Friday night.
Brookhaven had no problems running the football as its rushing game had 411 yards for the game and 509 total yards.
Aaron Yarborough, who had 14 carries for 167 yards, scored Brookhaven’s first three touchdowns.
He scored on a ssix-yard run and a three-yard run in the first quarter and a five-yard run in the second quarter.
Fred Perkins then scored on a 39-yard pass from quarterback Jeremy Castille.
Aaron Mackabee then scored on a nine-yard run in the third quarter.
The score was 34-0 when Franklin County finally scored on a four-yard run by Wade Woodcock to make the score 34-6. The two-point conversion failed.
Corey Wilson then scored on a one-yard run at the end of the third quarter to make the score 40-6.
Wes Hickingbottom then caught a 31-yard touchdown pass from Marcus Briggs in the fourth quarter for Franklin County.
Brian Mitchell scored on a 11-yard run late in the fourth quarter to complete the scoring.
Briggs had 12 carries for 56 yards. Hickingbottom and Walt Davis each had nine tackles and Josh O’Neal had eight tackles.
Brookhaven improved to 1-1. Franklin County dropped to 0-3 and will play at Collins next Friday.
