Carl Escher D’Aquilla III

CENTREVILLE – Services for Carl Escher &uot;Trey&uot; D’Aquilla III, 24, of Centreville, who died Friday, Sept. 10, 1999, at his residence, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in the chapel of Newman Funeral Home with the Rev. John Brashier officiating.

Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Woodville under the direction of Newman Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. A rosary service will be held at 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. D’Aquilla was a truck driver for Safeway Transportation of Port Allen, La. He was a member of the Centreville Fire Department and was a Catholic.

Survivors include his parents, Carl Esher D’Aquilla Jr. and Betty Sue D’Aquilla of Centreville; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Wilford B. Smiley of Centreville and Mr. and Mrs. Carl D’Aquilla Sr., all of Woodville; two brothers, Travis D’Aquilla and his wife Reagan, both of Centreville, and Michael D’Aquilla of Centreville; and one nephew, Macon D’Aquilla of Centreville.

Pallbearers will be Erwin Pittman and cousins, Kermit Boykin Jr., Kenny Boykin, Buddy Stutzman, Bobby Stutzman and Brian Stutzman.

Benjimin M. Quimby

Aug. 14, 1962 – Sept. 10, 1999

VIDALIA, La. – Services for Benjimin M. &uot;Bengie&uot;&160;Quimby, 37, of Monterey, who died Friday, Sept. 10, 1999, at Huey P. Long Hospital in Pineville, will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd with Father Robert Cooper officiating.

Young’s Funeral Home of Ferriday is in charge of arranagements.

Mr. Quimby was born Aug. 14, 1962, in Natchez to Charles C. &uot;Joe&uot;&160;Quimby and Loraine B. Quimby. He was a construction worker and was a Baptist.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include one son, Jacob Martin Quimby of Earle, Ark.; one daughter, Jennifer Michelle Quimby of Earle, Ark.; one brother, Charlie Quimby of Ferriday; and two sisters, Jan Thronhill and Anna Melissa Powell, both of Monterey.

Mary Michelle Smedley

Sept. 5, 1947 – Sept. 11, 1999

Services for Mary Michelle Smedley, 52, of Natchez, who died Saturday, Sept. 11, 1999, at her residence, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Laird Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Hiram Coker officiating.

Burial will be in the Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of the funeral home.

Visitation will begin at noon Monday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Smedley was born Sept. 5, 1947, in Woodville to William Mitchell Ashmore and Mary Lee Brown Ashmore.

Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Mary Lee and Wilton Johnson of Natchez; two sons, Johnathan Mitchell Day of Jackson and Richard David Day II of Natchez; four grandchildren; one brother, Mitch Ashmore of Ferriday; and three nieces.
