CLINTON, La. – Services for Charles Patrick Wesley, 36, of Clinton, who died Saturday, Sept. 25, 1999, at Earl K. Long Medical Center, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Egypt Baptist Church with the Rev. Morris Jackson officiating.

Burial will be at Egypt Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Richardson Funeral Home in Clinton.

Visitation is from 3 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Wesley was born Feb. 5, 1963, in Adams County, the son of Louis and Geneva Wesley.

He was a member of Evergreen Baptist Church in Clinton.

Survivors include his wife, JoAnn Wesley of Clinton; one daughter, Bianca Wesley of Clinton; one stepdaughter, Jamie Bibbins of Clinton; his parents, Louis and Geneva Wesley of Clinton; six brothers and their wives, Roderick and Regina Wesley of Clinton, Anthony and Sarah Wesley of Douglesville, Ga., Joseph and Salena Edwards of Natchez, Rudell and Joycelyn Reynolds, Robert Leon Reynolds and Warren Banks, all of New Orleans; his father-in-law, Lawrence Bibbins and mother-in-law, Corene Bibbins, both of Clinton; 10 aunts; 11 uncles; five sisters-in-law; four brothers-in-law; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends, including, Bobby Muse.

Victoria Brown Barksdale

Dec. 23, 1923 – Sept. 29, 1999

VIDALIA, La. – Services for Victoria Brown Barksdale, 75, of Vidalia, who died Wednesday, Sept. 29, 1999, at Summit Hospital in West Monroe will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Zion Baptist Church in Vidalia with the Rev. Robert Greene officiating.

Burial will follow at Vidalia Cemetery under the direction of Webb Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until service time at the church.

Mrs. Barksdale was born Dec. 23, 1923, in Vidalia, the daughter of John and Mary White and Abe and Maggie Pierson.

She was a retired teacher and attended both Concordia Parish Schools and Grambling State University. She was a Baptist and a member of the Louisiana Retired Teacher’s Association.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include two sons and their wives, Fred P. and Rebecca Brown and Clarence J. and Sandra Brown; one daughter, Carolyn B. Johnson; one sister, Carrie B. Williams; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Pallbearers will be Paul K. Johnson, Harrison King Jr., Jamal McCullen, Cedric P. Moore, Elbert Washington and Eugene Washington.
