JONESVILLE, La. – Jonesville residents arrested on charges of election fraud stemming from Jonesville’s Nov. 3 mayoral election included: Mayor Billy Edwards, 59 – charged with conspiracy, fraudulent voting, vote buying, false information and tampering with a witness.

Edwards’ wife, Mary A. Edwards, 52 – charged with conspiracy, fraudulent voting, vote buying and false information.

Linda Curry, 43 – charged with conspiracy, fraudulent voting, vote buying and false information.

Mona &uot;Flapper&uot;&160;Briggs, 36, still at large as of Tuesday evening – charged with conspiracy, vote buying and false information.

Garnet Thompson, 40 – charged with conspiracy, vote buying and false information.

Lola Bowie, 45 – charged with conspiracy, fraudulent voting, vote buying and false information.

Clyde Walker, 64 – charged with conspiracy, fraudulent voting, vote buying, false information and tampering with a witness.

Mary Walker, 59 – charged with conspiracy, fraudulent voting, vote buying and false information.

Henry &uot;Doonie&uot; Brown, 38 – charged with conspiracy, vote buying and false information.

The indictment charges all nine defendants with conspiracy and charges Billy Edwards, Mary Edwards, Curry, Bowie, Clyde Walker and Mary Walker with supplying false names and addresses to get absentee ballots and committed fraud by getting, casting and counting false ballots.

Billy Edwards, Curry and Briggs are charged with buying the votes of Michael Norris, Mykeia Hawkins, Patricia Norris, Alice Conner, Barbara Norris, Shirley O’Steen, George Shavers, Glenda Cummins and Flora Green.

Billy Edwards, Mary Edwards, Curry and Briggs are charged with buying the votes of Samuel Bullitts, Hubert Collins and Lee Johnson.

Billy Edwards, Curry and Thompson are charged with buying the votes of Carolyn Mills and Dealia Mills. Billy Edwards is charged with buying the vote of Coretta Morgan. Billy Edwards and Brown are charged with buying the vote of Jamie Lee Duncan.

Billy Edwards and Lola Bowie are charged with giving false information to submit false absentee ballot applications in the names of Ethel Barber and Willie Barber.

Billy Edwards, Mary Walker and Clyde Walker are charged with giving false information to submit a false absentee ballot application in the name of Wilbur Mills.

Billy Edwards and Mary Walker are charged with giving false information to submit false absentee ballot applications in the names of Marie Banks and Lucy Brown.

Billy Edwards is charged with giving false information to submit false absentee ballot applications in the names of John Banks and Debra Banks.

Clyde Walker and Billy Edwards are charged with intimidating or persuading people to keep those people from giving information to law enforcement regarding alleged vote buying and false information, respectively.
