The Cathedral Green Wave was crushed at Wesson Thursday night 56-13.

Wesson was the recipient of shoddy tackling by the Green Wave and sprinted to an imposing 35-0 half time advantage.

Jamal Jackson tried to turn the momentum in the second half. Jackson took the second half kick off to paydirt for an 84-yard return.

It would be the only score the Green Wave could muster in the third quarter.

In the fourth quarter, quarterback Stephen Edwards hit Mark Steckler for a 29-yard touchdown pass. The two-point conversion failed.

Cathedral faces Hinds AHS next week.
