Centreville easily defeats Silliman

Centreville Academy jumped out to a 21-0 halftime and cruised to an easy 42-14 win over Silliman Academy in a MPSA District 4-AAA game Friday night.
Matthew Tolbert had another big game for Centreville with 13 carries for 129 yards and two touchdowns.
Centreville had 240 of its 268 total yards on the ground.
Tolbert scored his first touchdown in the first quarter on a nine-yard run. John Vincent threw an 18-yard pass to Will Arnold.
In the second quarter, B.J. Robertson recovered a fumble and ran it back 90 yards for a touchdown to give Centreville a 21-0 lead at the half.
Centreville scored in the third quarter on a 41-yard run by Robertson and a 52-yard run by Tolbert.
Silliman scored its 14 points in the third quarter on a 10-yard run by Cazedessus and a three-yard run by Ben Smith.
Simethon ran in for the two-point conversion after Smith’s touchdown.
Jonathan Newman scored on an 11-yard run in the fourth quarter to complete the scoring.
Nathan Huff led the defense with nine tackles. Robertson had eight tackles. Jarred Webb and Jeremy Free each had six tackles.
Centreville improved to 7-3 overall and 3-0 in district while Silliman dropped to 4-5 overall and 1-2 in district.
