Woodland Hills defeats Wildcats

Despite having only nine first downs and 173 yards of total offense, Woodland Hills defeated Chamberlain Hunt 13-12 in a key District 4A game Friday night.
Woodland Hills scored first on a 24-yard pass from Maurice Reed to Wesley Edwards in the first quarter.
Edwards added the extra point.
CHA answered back in the second quarter when Matthew Burrell scored on a three-yard run.
The two-point conversion was no good.
Edwards scored again for Woodland Hills on an 18-yard run, but missed the extra point.
Derrick Greer intercepted a pass, ran it back 42 yards for an apparent touchdown.
However, the officials ruled him out of bounds. CHA trailed 13-6 at the half.
Burrell scored his second touchdown on a four-yard run in the third quarter. However, the extra point was no good.
Neither team scored in the fourth quarter.
Burrell had 24 carries for 132 yards and two touchdowns. Daniel McFatter completed four of 12 passes for 80 yards. Greer had two catches for 40 yards.
Phillip Johnson led the defense with 13 tackles, eight solo and three quarterback hurries.
Jerry Lee Messer had nine tackles.
Chamberlain Hunt finished with a 6-4 overall record and a 4-2 district record. The Wildcats must now wait and hope for a wild card bid.
