FERRIDAY, La. – Ferriday High senior Cedric Jefferson just missed hitting for the cycle.

Jefferson returned a kickoff 85 yards for a touchdown, had TD runs of 31 and 7 yards, caught a 13-yard scoring pass from Aron Thomas and missed by seven yards of returning an interception 54 yards for a touchdown.

&uot;I thought I scored a touchdown there, I was still a tightrope walking (the sideline),&uot; Jefferson said.

Jefferson had six carries for 32 yards. He finished with four touchdowns.

&uot;It was an incredible night,&uot; Jefferson said. &uot;I can’t explain it. It was our last game, although I’m hoping there will be more with the playoffs.&uot;

Ferriday scored two touchdowns for a 14-0 lead before McCall answered with a score.

Jefferson then returned the ensuing kickoff 85 yards for a touchdown.

&uot;When&160;I caught the ball I knew we only needed to block one person and then I burned the kicker,&uot; he said. &uot;All in all I would say this was my best game. I contributed a lot on defense, too.&uot;
