Calvin Bernard, left, Joseph Mathews, back, and Percy Johnson drill holes into the bluff for pins that will be placed in the dirt to stabilize the bluff. Schnabel Foundation Construction Company out of Atlanta is also conducting verification tests to prove to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers that their design will work to stabilize the bluff. They have been doing this work for approximately two weeks and work on the bluff is expected to continue through March 2001.
