&uot;We came out ready to play,&uot; said ACCS head coach Bruch Pickle. &uot;We rebounded the ball well. We had a bunch of turnovers the first four minutes, but after that we settled down.&uot;
Laurie Ann Davis led all scorers with 14 points, while Bethany Gamberi had nine and Holli Hankins had eight, including two three-pointers, for AC (4-1).
Defensively, the Lady Rebels had an outstanding performance, causing the Lady Hounds to turn the ball over a lot and making them miss several shots from near the basket.
&uot;The defense played very well tonight. We defended excellent,&uot; Coach Pickle said.
Huntington did not score in double digits in any of the four quarters.
