Natchez ends season with win

The Natchez Bulldogs won its second game of the season in the last game of the season, defeating Forest Hill 34-3 in a Region 3-5A game Friday night.

The Bulldogs not only ended a nine-game losing streak, but also made sure that they did not finish in last place in region play.

The Bulldogs scored in the first quarter on a five-yard run by Roderick Conner, who had 15 carries for 108 yards. Chris McDonald added the two-point conversion.

Chris McDonald then scored for the Bulldogs in the second quarter on a one-yard run. The Bulldogs led 14-0 at halftime.

The Bulldogs scored twice in the third quarter on a 97-yard touchdown pass from Donald Butler to Edwin Skipper and a five-yard run by McDonald, who added the two-point conversion after his touchdown.

Cordell Williams scored on a two-yard run in the fourth quarter.

Forest Hill scored its only points on a field goal.

Butler had 190 yards passing and one touchdown. Skipper had three catches for 152 yards and a touchdown.

Natchez finished its season at 2-9 overall and 1-6 in region play. Forest Hill finished its season at 1-9.
