&uot;We showed a lot of improvement tonight,&uot; Green Wave head coach Bill Cameron said. &uot;We’ve got a long way to go. They played an aggressive defense, but they had too many fouls. But I was pleased with the hustle.&uot;
Cameron looks for the Green Wave to continue improving.
&uot;We’ve got a district game coming up against St. Andrews and then we play Central again at their tournament. We are just starting to come together as a team now.&uot;
David Scarbrough led the Panthers with eight points and Daniel Wiley had six points.
After getting off to a slow start, the Cathedral Lady Green Wave had no problem defeating the Central High Lady Panthers 42-17.
The Lady Panthers were able to only play with five players because of injuries, but they held the Lady Green Wave scoreless for almost the first five minutes of the first quarter.
&uot;We played a little better in the second half,&uot; head coach Craig Beesley said. &uot;We didn’t look mentally into the game to start off. We need to shoot the ball better.&uot;

The Lady Panthers had to play with only four players for much of the second half after Jasmine Furlow fouled out with 3:24 left in the third quarter.
&uot;We’ve got a big game Tuesday against St. Andrews, which will be the first game in the new district (District 6-2A),&uot; Beesley said. &uot;We just moved up from Class A so we’ll see how good we are.&uot;
