FERRIDAY, La. – Many High senior quarterback Isom Scott stands only 5-foot-8.
But he was standing much taller at the end of the Tigers’45-25 win over Ferriday Friday night.
After both teams went back and fourth for two-and-a-half quarters without much offense, Scott took over, finishing the game with 312 rushing yards, 103 passing yards and four touchdowns.
&uot;Our offensive line did a great job of blocking,&uot; said Scott, who is 12-0 as a starting quarterback for the 12-1 Tigers.
Most of Scott’s yards came on the option, as the diminutive speedster broke around the end on several occasions and raced down the sideline into the open field.
&uot;I was just reading the strong safety,&uot; he said.
Scott’s biggest score came on an 80-yard run right after Ferriday had taken a 19-15 lead.
&uot;I felt we had to come right back and score,&uot; Scott said. &uot;I just put it on my shoulders.&uot;
&uot;Isom made some mistakes, but he made some big plays,&uot; said Many head coach David Feaster. &uot;He shows a lot of great leadership.&uot;
