Officials are still investigating Monday’s death of Franklin County District 1 Supervisor David Griffin.

&uot;We’re investigated all angles, from accidental to possibly self-inflicted,&uot; said Franklin County Sheriff James Newman.

Officials believe Griffin died at his residence after being shot with a 12-gauge shotgun.

&uot;A by-passer found him laying by his truck around 8:30 (Monday) morning,&uot; Newman said.

Newman said Franklin County would miss having Griffin on its board. &uot;He was a super guy,&uot; Newman said. &uot;He served two terms and just got reelected. He was very much interested in his district and the county.&uot;
