Two Miss-Lou residents were arrested for witness intimidation Monday in connection with a drug case.

Richard B. Kemp Jr., 18, 113 Cottonwood Drive, Ridgecrest, La. and Shannon K. Ashley, 19, 11 Angie Lane are both being held at the Adams County Jail on $20,000 bonds. The two were not charged in the drug case but officials believe they are acquainted with the people involved in the drug case.

&uot; From time to time you’ll see those charges so it’s not totally unusual,&uot;&160;said Adams County Sheriff Tommy Ferrell.

In these cases, the suspect tries to force a witness to either change their testimony or to drop charges, he said.

Kemp is also being held without bond on a contempt of court charge.
