Fire damages house

A house fire at 204 Bowman St. Thursday morning damaged, but did not destroy, the structure, Natchez fire officials said.
Natchez Fire Department dispatched two fire engines at 6:52 a.m., said Commander Oliver Stewart.
&uot;The fire was contained to the porch, den and the kitchen,&uot; Stewart said. &uot;There was smoke and water damage to the other portions of the house.&uot;
The house was occupied by Bobby Thompson and family at the time of the fire, but the family escaped unharmed, Stewart said.
A cause for the morning blaze has yet to be determined, Stewart said. The fire is still under investigation by the Natchez Fire Department and Fire Marshal Johnny Franklin.
