It’s not unusual to find people of all sorts at Natchez Under-the-Hill, but finding an 8-point buck is truly a rarity. Friday at around 2 p.m. the deer swam out of the Mississippi River between Lady Luck and Wharf Master’s. The deer stayed on the rocks along the edge of the river for about an hour until the puzzled humans left. The deer eventually moved north into the woods along the shore.
