The Vidalia Garden Club sponsors an annual Christmas lighting contest and this year’s theme was Lighting the Way for Y2K. David and Ellen Yates won first place in the traditional category for the lights on their house on Concordia Avenue. Sharon Woods and Larry Grable won first place in the religious category, Marc and Tana Archer won first in contemporary, and Bobby and Velma Calhoun won first in the children category.
