Cost of Super Bowl is super high

So you’re going to the Super Bowl. Don’t go on an empty stomach and get your souvenirs beforehand. Because after buying a ticket(s) (they start at $1,200 for top level end zone seats at the Georgia Dome) you may not have much left.
Tickets on level two within the 25-yard lines are $4,200 each.
Level one tickets around midfield are $3,800.
Can you imagine what the scalpers are charging?
Actually, I couldn’t believe that price.
I looked up on the Internet to check ticket prices and it had a chart listing prices from $1,500 to 4,600.
Thinking that surely couldn’t be the regular price, I called the number and asked and was told they go from $1,200 to $4,200.
I told the guy I didn’t think they were that much and he said, &uot;Weelllll.&uot;
And I’m thinking, yeah, oil well (black gold, Texas tea) to play for those babies.
Actually, if you are a season ticket holder you could get an end zone top level seat for $325.
So after you get into the Georgia Dome for the grand game between Tennessee and St. Louis, you have to check out the souvenirs.
If you are a Titan fan, there is a team store inside the Dome. There will be nearly 300 Titan souvenir items before you get to your level.
First American will have an ATM machine on every concourse level.
Truly America’s game.
Items like license plates, seat cushions, pins, and inflatable helmets are priced between $5 and $10.
In other words, don’t let youngsters hold them or they probably won’t last the game.
T-shirts are available for $16-$20.
Other items include pennants, coffee mugs, sweatshirts, and polo shirts.
The Titans will also have &uot;inaugural game&uot; and &uot;inaugural season&uot; items.
I imagine those will be at &uot;inaugural prices.&uot;
Now you have worked up a hunger because you had to get to the game early to beat the traffic and you don’t won’t to stand outside in the bitter cold.
Besides, after paying that much for the tickets you don’t won’t to miss the previews, or whatever it is they show before the game.
So you head to the concession stand and you venture about the cost of food.
Hot dogs — $4; hamburgers/cheese burgers (one-third pound) — $4; Nachos — $3; Large tub of popcorn — $3; Beer (24 ounces) — $5; Souvenir cup of Coca-Cola (32 ounces) — $4; Souvenir cup of Coca-Cola (44 ounces) — $5; Slice of pizza — $3.
So you wish you would have brought in that Snickers bar — and the answer to that would be, &uot;Don’t think about it.&uot;
Stadium policies are that coolers, glass bottles, cans, food, umbrellas, video cameras, flags attached to a pole, air horns, whistles, artificial noisemakers,strollers, and weapons are prohibited.
Gates open two hours before kickoff. Alcohol sales begin at kickoff. Alcohol sales will be cut off at the end of the third quarter.
So if it’s a close game up until the third quarter and the Rams score 40 unanswered points, you are out of luck.
Supposedly, no one may purchase more than two beers at a time. Now let’s see, you’ve got how many people at this game and how many concession stands?
If somebody can figure out how to enforce that rule, they need to be general manager of the New Orleans Saints. But they better bring the beer.
