Cathedral only played with three boys – Chase Ogden, Bryson Ogden and Andrew Stubbs – on the team and all three had to play two matches.
Cathedral had to forfeit the No. 1 boys singles match because Ian Doherty is no longer on the team.

Despite the forfeit, Cathedral came out ready to play against Morton.
&uot;It was great to get to our first district win,&uot; coach Ogden said.
Mary Alice Cooley easily defeated V.V. Sampayo 6-0, 6-0 and Stacy Verruchi defeated Brandi Derrick 8-3 in the girls singles matches.
&uot;I was more relaxed today (than last Thursday),&uot; Cooley said. &uot;I hit the serve and kept the ball in play.&uot;
&uot;Cooley’s opponent was somewhat weaker,&uot; coach Ogden said. &uot;Cooley played with a lot of confidence today.&uot;
In the No. 2 boys singles match, Bryson Ogden defeated Kyle Gordon 6-0.

Chase Ogden and Stubbs had no problem in defeating Caesar Castillo and Camilo Sampayo in the No. 2 boys doubles 6-0.
In mixed doubles action, Chase Ogden and Holly Sawardecker defeated John Harris and Derrick 7-5, 6-4.
&uot;It was a hard-fought match,&uot; Chase Ogden said. &uot;Both teams played fairly well, but we seemed to pull it through in the second set.&uot;
