It wasn’t the prettiest game Chad Lipscomb has ever seen, but Adams County Christian Schools’ 7-2 win over Jackson Academy is still a win. And in competitive South AAAA, improving to 4-0 is nothing to complain about.

&uot;We weren’t mentally into the game from the get-go and we didn’t hit the baseball, but it feels good to get the win,&uot; Lipscomb said.

ACCS swept Jackson Prep in three games last week.

Jason Wimberly completed his first complete game after battling injuries most of the year.

&uot;Jason pitched real well,&uot; Lipscomb said. &uot;He got tired a little bit toward the end, but he hung in there.&uot;

Ryan Davis and Robby Powell led the Rebels at the plate with two hits.

Davis and Russ Marks both doubled.

The junior varsity contest between both teams was not played because of wet grounds.

ACCS, 11-3, hosts Jackson Academy Friday in a doubleheader beginning at 4:30 p.m.
