Excited children — some afraid of the pistol start — get ready for a one-mile fun run Saturday. The fun run began after a 5K race sponsored by the Junior Auxiliary of Natchez at Memorial Park. At left, Lexus Smith, 4, of Natchez looks on while Paige Erbin,7, of Vicksburg displays her unique stretching method in preparation for the one mile fun run. The fun run and 5K began at Memorial Park Saturday morning. Proceeds of the event will help fund Junior Auxiliary’s projects for youth in the community. For details on race winners, see 1B.
