Bonnette hit lifts Hounds

John Mark Bonnette singled home Chris Williams in the bottom of the eighth inning to give Huntington a 3-2 win over Central Hinds Monday in Ferriday, La.
Huntington, 7-8, got two runs earlier on a 2-run double by Luke Davis.
Barrett Kiser went the whole way for the Hounds, striking out 11 batters.
Crawford Kifer had two singles for the Hounds, while Kenneth Clayton, Wyatt Kemp, Kiser and Trey Mason each singled.
Huntington hosts River Oaks today.
Trinity clinches sub-district
Trinity Episcopal swept Pine Hills Monday in Gloster to clinch the sub-district title, winning the first game 8-0 before pounding out an 18-6 win in the second game.
Hunter Dale got the win in the first game, allowing five hits.
Dale led the Saints at the plate with a double and two singles.
Gregory Ketchings also doubled.
Shane Lofton and Steve Causey each doubled for Pine Hills.
Trinity, 12-4, scored eight runs in the second inning to highlight the win.
Walt Ketchings got the win, allowing five hits over five innings.
Ketchings had three singles for the Saints.
Chase Brown tripled twice in the contest, while William McGehee had two singles. Joey Sturdivant doubled for Pine Hills.
Lofton was tagged for the loss in the second game, while Jonathan Honea was the losing pitcher in the first game.
Trinity hosts Presbyterian Christian Saturday.
