JONESVILLE, La. – Louisiana State Police and the Catahoula Parish Sheriff’s Office are asking anyone who knows the location of two suspects in the 1994 murder of a Jonesville man to come forward.
Robert W. Hudson, 41, is wanted on a charge of second-degree murder in connection with the death of Timothy Littleton, 24, in early September 1994. Hudson’s wife, Celestine Coldiron Hudson, 35, is wanted on a charge of accessory after the fact to second-degree murder.
The pair had lived on Louisiana 124 near Jonesville before moving to Monterey several months ago.
&uot;We don’t whether or not they are armed, but due to the severity of the charges people should assume they’re dangerous,&uot;&160;said Sgt. Howard McKee of the Louisiana State Police’s Northern District.
Robert Hudson allegedly shot Littleton as Littleton and a friend tried to steal marijuana plants from a field near the Black River levee in the Grassy Lake area of south Catahoula Parish. Following the shooting, Robert Hudson was indicted on a charge of marijuana cultivation but not on a murder charge.
McKee said new information discovered in the last two weeks led the sheriff’s office to name the Hudsons as suspects. Neither he nor Catahoula Chief Deputy Ricky White could answer further questions due to a gag order from Judge Kathy Johnson.
Anyone with information on the Hudsons’ location should call Louisiana State Police North District Detective Richard Ortego at (318) 484-2190 or Catahoula Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Ricky White at (318) 744-5411.
