The Beau Pre Country Club golf course was scorching Saturday as the heat index reached close to 110 degrees. Beau Pre members were also burning up the course, completing a sweep of members of Lakewood Country Club in New Orleans in their annual Challenge Match.

After defeating Lakewood members by one point in New Orleans, Beau Pre members ran away on their home course with a 20-7 win.

&uot;This is one of those courses that is tough to play right out of the gate,&uot;&160;said Beau Pre Country Club Golf Pro Mark Powell. &uot;They had some players who had some problems. And our members played well. It was a fun deal.&uot;
