Leagues announce all-stars

The stars were out in the Miss-Lou this week as several leagues announced their all-stars.
In the Dixie Youth 11-12 league, Whittington Insurance blanked Sports Center 14-0 to win the city championship at Duncan Park. Whittington won the first game 9-3 Thursday.
Benji Maher pitched the shutout, while Stevan Ridley had a grand slam and David Alton New also homered.
The 11-12 all star team was announced following the game. Maher, New, Ridley and Lane Baroni were named to the Wallace All-Star team from Whittington.
Also named to the Wallace squad were Timmy Foster, Cole Bradford, Jeremy Ellis, Cory Walker, Chris Seeger, Scott&160;Pollard, Drew David, Austin Weeks and Wesley Davis.
Coaches are David New Jr., Jeff Maher and Tim Foster.
Named to the Ace Adams squad were Tony Godbold, Adam Dollar, Blayne Floyd, C.J. Wright, Mark Hamelin, Jay Palmer, Alex Middleton, Jason Calcote, Travis McCready, Matt Goss, Michael Chatman, Ramardo Thomas and Eric Perry.
Coaches are Gus Perry, Tom Middleton and Robbie Dollar.
Players and parents for the Ace Adams team are asked to meet at Carroll-Jones Field today at 10 a.m. and bring a birth certificate or copy. Players for the Wallace team will meet at 5:30 p.m. at Carroll-Jones.
The Natchez Dixie Boys announced its 13-year-old and 14-year old all-star squads.
The 14-year-old all-stars will host the district tournament beginning July 8.
Members of the 14-year-old team are Te Riley, Garrett Jones, John Holleman, Douglas Davis, Matt Parson, Luke Odgen, Michael Blain, Glenn Williams, Sam Thomas, Ray Simpson Jr., Russell Barmer, Mitchell Nerrin and Drew Kossum. The head coach is Willie Riley, with Jimmy Riley and Gary Jones serving as assistants.
The 13-year-old team, which begins district play July 8 in Summit, consists of Dustin Case, Drew Burns, Jeremy Davis, Jacob Dollar, David Trisler, Andrew Ellard, Philip Eidt, Joey Wilson, Jamie Morris, Kevin Bishop, Preston Hicks, Chris Rasco and B.J. Stateler. The head coach is Loyd Trisler or Joe Eidt.
A&160;parents meeting for the Natchez Dixie Boys all-stars will be held Saturday at 6 p.m. at the Dixie Boys park. Parents need to bring birth certificates or a copy.
The Concordia Parish Dixie Boys announced their 13-year-old and 14-year-old all-star squads.
The 14-year-old team consists of Jeffrey Anderson, Jonathan Edens, Chad Foster, Bull Hall, Matt Hinson, Ryan Kemp, Will Moak, Andy Moon, Wyler Murray, Jeremy Owens, Jordy Temple, Adam Trevillion and Chris Williams. Lowery Moak is the head coach, while Johnny Edens and Keith Foster are his assistants.
The 14-year-old all-stars will begin play June 30 in Tallulah, La.
The 13-year-old team consists of Josh Bennett, Chris Ensminger, Patrick Golden, Tony Hawkins, Brett Hinson, Jonathan Keith, Earl Keith, Chris Rouse, Reid Simpson, Brian Smith, Chad Thomas, Justin Welch and Will Windham. The head coach is Shelby Ensminger, while Denny Hinson and Gary Simpson are the assistants.
The 13-year-old team will begin tournament play July 1 in Monroe, La.
