Centreville wins homecoming game

CENTREVILLE — The Centreville Academy Tigers jumped out to a big first-half lead en route to a 35-15 win in their homecoming game against Riverfield Academy Friday night.
Centreville (4-1) had a 28-0 halftime lead and won the game despite giving up three interceptions and three fumbles.
Josh Jones was five of 11 for 83 yards and John Vincent threw a 19-yard touchdown pass to Jones.
Vincent also caught three passes for 64 yards.
Running back Johnathon Newman had 20 carries for 103 yards and two touchdowns.
Riverfield (3-2) scored all its points in the second half on a James Chaney 1-yard run, a safety and a 23-yard halfback pass from Chaney to Clay Freeland.
Centreville hosts Parklane Academy at 7 p.m. Friday.
