COLUMBIA — Jeremy Miller’s 1-yard touchdown run late in the fourth quarter gave Columbia Academy a hard-fought, come-from-behind 21-20 win over Wilkinson County Christian Academy Friday night at Columbia.
WCCA, which had 268 yards on the ground and had 17 first downs to only seven for Columbia, stopped the Cougars at the Rams 22 yard line with 3:17 remaining, but a 15-yard facemask penalty gave the home team a new set of downs at the Rams seven.
Just under one minute later, Miller scored the winning touchdown.
Adam Ryan scored twice for WCCA on a 3-yard run in the second quarter and a 6-yard run in the third quarter. Brandon Jensen scored on a seven-yard run in the first quarter.
WCCA (1-4) plays at ACCS Friday at 7:30 p.m.
