Vidalia woman’s death ruled suicide

VIDALIA, La. — The weekend death of a 20-year-old Vidalia area resident has been ruled a suicide by hanging based on autopsy results, Concordia Parish Sheriff Randy Maxwell said Wednesday.

&uot;There were no signs of a struggle,&uot; including no sign of broken bones, in the case of Sarah Paige Seyfarth, Maxwell said.

&uot;We initially had questions concerning this case and those have been resolved,&uot;&160;he added. &uot;The investigation is considered complete and the case has been closed.&uot;

Seyfarth died Saturday at her home at 342 Rountree Road just outside Vidalia. Dispatchers called an ambulance to the scene at 6:12 p.m.

&uot;We certainly want to offer the family of the deceased our deepest sympathy during this extremely difficult time,&uot;&160;Maxwell said.

Seyfarth’s funeral has been set for 2 p.m. today in the chapel of Laird Funeral Home of Natchez with the Rev. Mark Herrington officiating. Burial will follow at Natchez City Cemetery.

Seyfarth was a member of First United Pentecostal Church in Natchez. She attended Copiah-Lincoln Community College and worked for Myers Electric in Vidalia.

Survivors include her infant daughter, Madison Cheyenne Lisenby of Vidalia; her father, Eddie Seyfarth of Natchez; her mother, Barbara H. Seyfarth of Orlando, Fla.; two sisters, Marla Ann Seyfarth and Angelica Noel Seyfarth, both of Natchez; and a number of uncles, aunts and cousins.
