County man charged with shooting resident in leg

A Natchez man who was shot in the leg three times Friday night underwent surgery Monday.
Adams County Sheriff deputies said Reno Jones was shot following a dispute with James H. Shropshire, 51, 13 Honeysuckle Lane.
Jones was listed in stable condition Monday.
Shropshire shot Jones with a .9-millimeter pistol at the Honeysuckle Lane residence, said Maj. John Manley, of the Adams County Sheriff’s Department.
Manley would not say what started the dispute.
Deputies charged Shropshire with aggravated assault and released him on a $50,000 bond Monday.
