Stan Humphries is used to leading a group of men to victory. Just ask the San Diego Chargers.

It should come as no surprise, then, that the team of Humphries, Glynn Laird, Adrian Stallone and Charlie Lee had a round of 10-under-par 62 to win the Celebrity Skins and Shamble Golf Tournament by two shots Tuesday at Beau Pr\u00E9 Country Club.

Humpries was one of four former NFL quarterbacks to play in the game to benefit the Natchez Senior Center. Browning Nagle, Steve Bartkowski and Jim McMahon also played in the event, which was made possible through the Celebrity Players Tour.

&uot;We did really well brother-in-lawing on our scramble,&uot; Stallone said. &uot;Stan played good. Charlie and Glynn and I used each other’s shots quite a bit.&uot;

Humphries came up one shot short of winning the Celebrity Skins as he had a one-under 71.

&uot;I haven’t been playing much,&uot; said Humphries, who added that this was his first time he’s played golf since early August.

Browning Nagle won the Celebrity Skins with a two-under 70.

&uot;I love the golf course. It’s just georgeous,&uot; he said. &uot;For this time of year, the greens are rolling wonderful.&uot;

After a birdie on the third hole, Nagle bogeyed the fourth, fifth and sixth holes before getting birdies on five of the next seven holes.

He also had a bogey on the 17th hole. &uot;I hit it into the hazard.&uot;

Nagle, Jim Pendergrast, Forest Persons and Homer Rushing finished second with a round of 64.

Steve Bartkowski, Woody Allen, Bob Latham and Lucius Butts came in third place with a 66.

&uot;It’s hard to keep my mind on golf with all the deer and squirrel grounds around here,&uot; Bartkowski said. &uot; I hit all my golf clubs today. I love this golf course. The greens are large enough.&uot;

Bartkowski tied for third place in the Celebrity Skins with Jim McMahon, who each had rounds of one-over 73.

&uot;I had a good time. I had a lot of fun,&uot; McMahon said. &uot;The round was good. Good group of guys. Good golf course.&uot;

McMahon, Baxter Lee, Mark Mason and Pete Buttross came in fourth place with a round of 67.
