Natchez Bulldogs earn huge road win by downing district foe Forest Hill 93-66

The Natchez High Bulldogs cruised to a 93-66 win over Forest Hill in a Division 6-5A matchup Tuesday in Jackson.

Jamal Bouldin led Natchez (9-1, 3-0) with 27 points. Vasshun Newborne had 18 points and Burton Broudy added 17 points.

&uot;We played hard in the first half,&uot; said Bulldog Alvin Griffin. &uot;We got a big spark from Jamal Bouldin in the second half.&uot;

&uot;We came out pretty fast,&uot; said Natchez’ Je’Kel Foster. &uot;Bouldin hit some key shots. We played strong defense tonight.&uot;

Jeffrey Web led Forest Hill with 21 points, most coming in the first half.

Natchez next plays against Vidalia at 4 p.m. Thursday in the first game of the Natchez High Hoops Classic.

Lady Bulldogs 72, Forest Hill 52

Crystal Brown led the Natchez Lady Bulldogs to a 72-52 win over Forest Hill Tuesday.

&uot;We stayed focused all the way,&uot; Brown said. &uot;That gave us the victory.&uot;

Chrystal Sylvester scored 17 points for Natchez (8-4, 2-1) and Angel Taylor added another 17.

Suprena Davis led Forest Hill with 13 points.

Natchez next plays against Vidalia at 5:30 p.m. Thursday in the first game of the Natchez High Hoops Classic.

Lady Vikings 63, Lady Wildcats 51

Natalie McGraw scored a game-high 26 points to lead the Vidalia Lady Vikings past Winnsboro 63-51 at Winnsboro.

Wendy Paul and Brendy Ellis each added 14 points for Vidalia.

Lecarrian Loring led Winnsboro with 16 points and Melinda Baker chipped in with 10 points.

The Lady Vikings next play against Natchez at 5:30 p.m. Thursday in the Natchez High Hoops Classic.

Richland 52, Green Wave 37

Antonio Carroll scored a game-high 13 points to lead Richland to a 52-37 win over Cathedral in a District 6-2A matchup at Richland.

Bernard Washington added 11 points and Ted Watson had nine points for Richland.

Willie Clark and Brady Hendrix led Cathedral with 10 points apiece.

Cathedral hosts Wesson in District 6-2A action beginning around 7:30 p.m. Friday.

Lady Green Wave 45, Richland 42 OT

The Cathedral Lady Green Wave edged Richland Tuesday 45-42 in overtime.

Vee Brice led Cathedral with 20 points, including several clutch baskets in the extra period. Brice also earned two steals in overtime.

Kate Prescott added another 12 points for Cathedral (5-2, 2-1).

Richland was led by Stephanie Dunn’s 16 points.

The Lady Green Wave nexts hosts Wesson at 6 p.m. Friday.
