LAKE CONCORDIA, La. – A Denham Springs man died Saturday night at Sportsman’s Lodge on Lake Concordia of carbon monoxide poisoning, Concordia Parish Sheriff Randy Maxwell said Sunday. Matthew Hughes, 28, was apparently fishing at the lake when he decided to take a nap in one of the lodge’s buildings and turned on a heater to keep warm.

&uot;We got the call at about 6:30 p.m., when his wife called looking for him,&uot;&160;Maxwell said.

Hughes was found about one hour later.
