MEADVILLE – State and local officials are placing more people who get their drinking water from the Franklin County Water Association in West Meadville under a precautionary boil-water alert.

Customers in the Oldenburg Community from the Oldenburg Church and account numbers 211150 to 213450 have now been added.

Customers with account numbers beginning with No. 2 from White Apple Road in Roxie to the Knoxville Community and customers in the Hamburg community remain under the boil water alert.

Health officials recommend customers vigorously boil their water for one minute before it is consumed.

Customers will be notified when tests show the water is safe to drink.
