An Adams County resident was treated at a local hospital this weekend after receiving cuts to his face during a domestic dispute.

John R. Ogden, 33 Montgomery Road, was released from Natchez Community Hospital Sunday after being allegedly assaulted by Kennon &uot;Kenneth&uot; Bradley Ashley, 24, 39 Montgomery Road.

&uot;(Ogden) was beaten so severely they put him the hospital,&uot; said Adams County Sheriff Tommy Ferrell.

Because the wounds were so severe, law enforcement charged Ashley with aggravated assault instead of simple assault, although Ogden said he was not struck with a weapon or other object during the fight, Ferrell said. Ashley has been released from the Adams County jail on a $5,000 bond.
