Man charged with stealing oil equipment

A Monterey, La., resident was arrested in Natchez Monday for allegedly stealing $12,000 worth of equipment from an oil field supply company on U.S. 61 South.
Darryl W. Simpson, 39, 6111 Louisiana 129, was released from jail on a $20,000 bond on charge of burglary. According to police reports, he was a former employee of the company he burglarized.
Investigators were able to locate all of the stolen items, said Natchez Police Chief Willie Huff.
The crime took place over the weekend, he said.
