Team shoots 11-under to take Trinity Mayfair

The team of Jerry Lambuth, Walter Ketchings, John Junkin and Charlie Meyers fired an 11-under-par 61 to win the 2001 Trinity Mayfair Golf Scramble by two shots Saturday at Beau Pr\u00E9 Country Club.
Thirty-eight players comprised the nine teams – two teams had five players – that participated in the tournament.
&uot;It was just a great day for golfing. The weather couldn’t have been any better,&uot; Meyers said. &uot;The course was in good condition. We just hit the ball straight. It was a good team effort.&uot;
The team of Russell Butts, Lucius Butts, Kent Hudson, Mike Musgrove and Bill Godfrey won a scorecard playoff to finish in second place over the team of Robin Punches, Sammy Gore David Heard and Mike Henry as both teams had a nine-under-par 63.
