Services for Nathan D. Calhoun, 89, of Natchez, who died Sunday, April 29, 2001, at Natchez Community Hospital are incomplete at Laird Funeral Home.

Muriel Morace Jones

Nov. 17, 1923 – April 28, 2001

FERRIDAY, La. – Services for Muriel Morace Jones, 77, of Ferriday, who died on April 28, 2001, will be held at Young’s Funeral Home Chapel in Ferriday from 6 to 9 p.m. with the Revs. Jack Teer and Richard Cullum officiating.

Burial will follow at New Pine Hill Cemetery near Sicily Island under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

She was born on Nov. 17, 1923, in New Era, the daughter of Rowena and Eddie Morace.

A lifelong resident of Ferriday, she was a cafe manager for Lum Brothers Stockyards. She was a member of Hill Memorial Baptist Church, where she taught childrens Sunday school classes and arranged flowers for church services.

Jones was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers and sisters-in-law, E.D. and Edna Morace and Bud and Novie Morace; and one sister, Ruby Osmon.

Survivors include her husband, Edgar W. Jones of Ferriday; two sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Diane Jones and Eddie and Bunny Jones, all of Ferriday; three daughters and sons-in-law, Cheryl and Wayne Sanford, Peggy and James King and Janice and Billy Lee, all of Ferriday; one brother-in-law, Van Osmon; one sister-in-law, Grace Johnson; 16 grandchildren, Donny Dodge and Cindy, Gloria Kelly, Cheryl Higdon and Cody, Elizabeth Rushing and David, Tod King and Bonetta, Troy King and Lori, Toby King and Tara, Corey and Chris Jones, Danielle Stewart, Teddi Jones, Jared Jones, Jordy Jones, Jessica Lee and John Lee; 15 great-grandchildren, Danielle Kelly, Brittaney Kelly, Shauna Higdon, Heath Higdon, Charles Rushing, Taylor Rushing, Hollie Rushing, Kelsea Pounds, Kyle Ensminger, Ashley King, Krista King, Jody King, Trey King, Kimberly King, Kelly King; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Donnie Dodge, Tod King, Troy King, Toby King, Corey Jones and Chris Jones.

Honorary pallbearers include Jared Jones, Jordy Jones, Jody King, Trey King and Josh Lee.

The family requests memorials be made to the flower fund of Hill Memorial Baptist Church.

Oquilla Jerry Elliot

Dec. 10, 1944 – April 27, 2001

JONESVILLE, La. – Services for Oquilla Jerry Elliot, 56, of Murfreesboro, Tenn., who died on April 27, 2001, will be held at Sandy Lake Pentecostal Church in&160;Jonesville at 2 p.m. today, with the Revs. Evertt Mayo and Russell Hathcock officiating.

Burial will be at Heard Cemetery in Manifest.

Elliot was born on Dec. 10, 1944, in Natchez, to the late Mr. and Mrs. George Edward Goins.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband, James Elliott of Murfreesboro; two brothers, Gorge Goins of Jonesville and Roger Goins of Longview, Wash.; and one sister, Vera Anita Stewart of Murfreesboro.

Joseph Pecanty

JONESVILLE, La. – Services for Joseph Pecanty, 51, of Thibodaux,who died Saturday, April 28, 2001, are incomplete and will be announced later by Young’s Funeral Home.

Juanita H. Randall

Nov. 25, 1927 – April 27, 2001

VIDALIA, La. – Services for Juanita H. Randall, 73, of Vidalia, who died on April 27, 2001, were held at First Baptist Church of Vidalia Sunday with the Revs. Gary Nunn and Dr. Ralph Webber officiating.

Burial followed at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Natchez under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Randall was born in&160;Harrisburg on Nov. 25, 1927, the daughter of Willie and Ora Hackney.

She was a registered nurse for the Concordia Parish School System and a member of First Baptist Church in Vidalia, where she was an organist and pianist for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Wayne Randall; and one sister, Ora Marie Nuget.

She is survived by her husband, Charlie Randall Jr. of Vidalia; two sisters, Leona Guice of Sicily Island and Marcille Staring of Baton Rouge; one brother, Buddy Hackney of Sicily Island; two grandchildren, Chris Randall and Stephanie Randall, both of Vidalia; and a daughter-in-law, Debra F. Randal of Vidalia.

Pallbearers will be her nephews.
