Chains and locks block would-be swimmers from entering Dunkan Park pool and one of the few remaining fields at Liberty Park will soon be destroyed to make way for the Natchez Trace Parkway. Also, a plan to build a multi-million dollar facility behind Natchez High School, has been scaled back to fit National Park Service requirements. Added together, local recreation, or the lack thereof, is at a crossroads.
